2016 visits programme

February 16, 2016

Dear All,

I am delighted to enclose the details of this year’s visits programme. We have a broad range of garden types, private and public, large and small. All are immensely stimulating and as usual we have an owner or gardener on hand to guide us through the garden. I always come away from these visits having learned many useful things and feeling more optimistic about what is possible in my own garden. I hope you will feel the same from this year’s offerings.

You will see on the enclosed Booking Form that members of the National Trust have free entry to Godolphin. Please could you let us know whether you are a member of the National Trust (Life or Annual) as this will help us keep our membership records up to date.

If there are any gardens you would particularly like to visit with the Trust in 2017, please drop me a line or an email and we’ll try to fit these requests in.

On another matter, please note the date of our Annual General Meeting, which will be on Saturday, 7th May at Trevince. After the AGM, Katie Penna of Tresamble Trading will give a talk “Tools of the Trade”. She will be bringing a selection of unusual and interesting tools for demonstration and sale.

Please feel free to bring along any tools you may have for discussion or identification.

To help us generate new members, please could you spread the word about our fabulous visits programme, and if you know of a suitable venue for distributing our promotional material, please let us know, we would be happy to send you some.

I am looking forward to seeing you at some of our visits.

Best wishes,
Richard Stone
Chairman
