About Us
Cornwall Gardens Trust is for people with an interest in preserving our garden heritage, who enjoy visiting gardens some of which are rarely open to the public, who wish to share garden knowledge or who want to create new gardens.
Our garden heritage is unique and precious - and we need to save it from inappropriate development and neglect. We seek to encourage continuing public awareness and appreciation of garden land.
By agreement with the owners, Cornwall Gardens Trust researches and records gardens of interest for an archival county record. We organise a varied programme of events and visits, and are also involved in education projects.
Becoming a member enables you to show your support for our important work and offers opportunities to meet others through the events and social programmes. Cornwall Gardens Trust is a founder member of The Association of Gardens Trusts, which links over 6000 Gardens Trust members throughout the country.
You will find details about all the Trust’s activities on this site but, for any more general information, please contact our Secretary, Peter Fairbank: [email protected] or telephone or fax: 01326 372293.
The new service, the Cornwall Diary, which supplies free online publicity for local community groups, invites members of the Cornwall Gardens Trust to register with the Diary by logging on at www.plymouthdiary.co.uk
